Professional Information

Lack thereof...

I have quit all paying jobs currently in favor of pampering my husband with all my energy. If we ever leave the truck, though, and I don't have him to fill up my time, I'm definitely going to have to get a job just so I don't go nuts with boredom.

Personal Information

Relationship Information

I'm married to Jonathan Crow. This has been by far the best decision I've made in years. He's currently a company driver for US Xpress and I go over-the-road with him, living in the truck. I read to him, get anything he needs while we go down the road (drinks, food, pain killer) and spend just about 24 hours per day with him. This has got me spoiled, though, because every 3 weeks we visit either his mother or mine, switching each time so everyone gets equal visi-time from us which means there are many rooms of a house to go into and, of course, siblings who want to go do something real quick and would like one of us to accompany them. Not a problem, but it is amusing because we both tend to be fine by ourselves so long as every half hour or so we check on each other. This has been made even simpler by our purchase of two-way radios by Cobra (the CB maker-great quality!)<--more on that later. Now we just talk to each other so long as we're within 2 miles of the other and my comfort level has risen greatly-as has his. :)

Personality Information

~ idealistic ~ humanitarian ~ radical ~ sudden ~ unpredictable ~
I tend to resist manipulative behavior. I form my own opinion, however unusual it may be, and refuse to adapt. If someone dares to push, pull, or pressure me, they will definitely get to know my stubborn and eccentric side.
Some of my strengths are that I'm accepting and sympathetic to many points of view and I believe I'm equipped to understand most if not each of them. I tend to be idiosyncratic. I've been told that I am an unusually independent and wildly unique individual with a profound spiritual bent. My intuition, loyalty, and resourcefulness can make me a fun person to be around...or just more stress for my parents. *grin*
Naturally, I have lots of personality weaknesses, too. I can be erratic in my actions. At times, I can be scattered and unrealistic, refusing to change sides in an argument simply because I haven't taken the time to think about whether I'm wrong or not. Sometimes I can also be detached so that others see me as cold and inaccessible.

Birth Information

I was born in Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska on February 5th, 1978 at 4:10AM. My main life color is Yellow with lavender undertones and a slight red overlay. My sun sign is Aquarius, My moon sign is Capricorn, and My rising sign is Saggitarius.

Re-Birth Information

I made the choice to give up my former life and walk with God as His child, taking the Bible as my guide, believing that Jesus paid the debt of my sins so that I wouldn't have to, when I was 16 years old at church camp.

Health Information

I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Hypoglycemia, Thorascic Outlet Syndrome, Carpul Tunnel Syndrome, Chronic Tennis Elbow, Chronic Golf Elbow, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Chronic Myofascial Pain Syndrome, and some others...basically I'm a physical mess when I let myself think about it.

Habits ~ Hobbies ~ Interests

I'm addicted to...

Chocolate. Absolutely. I love chocolate. It gets rid of my migraines, ups my seratonin levels so that I feel healthier, and nothing tastes better.
Exercise. I don't care whether I'm over-weight or not, or how you feel when you look at me. Most people are shocked to find out that I'm addicted to exercise. I am. I can't do a lot of sports anymore, but anyone who remembers me when I was a child will remember me in basketball/volleyball/climbing/hiking, etc...my love of those things didn't disappear when I became ill. Up until recently, my ability to exercise simply kept me from getting worse. Now that I'm getting better, I'm hoping I'll gain more strength and be able to get back into hiking. I miss it terribly.

Just really like a lot...

Cream Cheese. Whether it's my mothers Cherry Cream Cheese Pie, Plain cheesecake with no topping whatsoever, Cheese Danish, or Cream Cheese on a hot, toasted, buttered, bagel, I have discovered that besides Pizza, this is my favorite food. (Not counting, of course, chocolate)

Things I do to have fun...

I sing karaoke with my husband when my daughter, Carrie, is running the show. I used to paint on canvass and embroider, but I just don't have the inclination or motivation for it anymore. I mall-walk, go to the movies, go yard-saling with my sisters, but most of all I love to play with my two nieces. I love to sculpt and over the years have preferred to do more free-style projects with my hands. I'm sketching, though erratically and am mainly concentrating on my website right now. I role-play in the games Dungeons&Dragons, Aberrant, and Werewolf the Apocalypse.

Pilates

I practice Pilates and thoroughly enjoy it. It's fun and quite frankly, looks hilarious when I picture myself doing it. Hence, why I do it when no one's watching. That way I can relax without worrying about my pride. *grin* This is going to be different in the truck, of course. Still working on creative ways to practice Pilates on a little bed or in the front seat.

Cats, Elephants, White Bears

I no longer collect them because I have so many already, but I do enjoy them.

Written Works

My main hobby at the moment is my writing. While I had sporadically done a few fully written works, my writing bug didn't take off until I started writing Stargate SG-1 fanfiction. Poetry and Free-style thought narratives abounded while the stories I wrote were pretty much exclusively for either personal enjoyment or else were for the Fibromyalgia anthology being created. You can find poems not in Mental Pen at Poetry.Com by putting Hyneman in the Last Name box and Garnet in the First name box...then click search. *ducks Mir's raspberry* They're perfectly acceptable directions. :)

Divine Divas of the Web

I've been a member of the DDotW for awhile now *makes note to check date when actually joined* and I love it. I haven't been very active lately since the main committee I wanted disappeared and hasn't restarted, but I plan to get back into it since it's an incredible set of women I get to work with.
